Maria Tufvesson Shuck

Maria Tufvesson Shuck is the head of Mannheimer Swartling’s New York office. Maria joined the firm as an associate in 1988 and has been a partner since 1995.

Prior to joining Mannheimer Swartling, Maria was an associate with White & Case, New York, served as a district court junior judge and was “amanuens” in International Law at Lund University.

Maria received an LL.M from Harvard Law School in 1987 and an LL.M from Lund University in 1985.

Maria is a Member of the Swedish Bar Association, the International Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association and the Association of the Bar of the City of New York.

Maria is a member of the Board of the Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce, Inc. New York, the Chair of the Foreign Lawyers Committee, International Law and Practice Section of the New York State Bar Association and a director of the American Foreign Law Association.
